Designed by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina for Artemide in 1987, the Tolomeo has become one of the most recognizable examples of contemporary Italian lighting.
Its articulated aluminum structure uses a system of spring-balanced arms and tension cables, allowing the light to be repositioned with remarkable ease. The conical aluminum shade rotates independently, while the weighted circular base anchors the otherwise light, mechanical construction.
This vintage example is finished in aluminum and retains its original Artemide label. Good vintage condition with light wear and surface marks consistent with age and use. Fully functional.
